Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, also called Ashanti was born on 13 October on the 13th of October, 1980 on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer songwriter. The talent of Ashanti was discovered when she was a teenager. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. That same year, she also in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song as well as Ja Rule's Always On Time track, both of which became massive hits. In the case of Foolish and the track What's Luv being at number one and her first number one hit, she was the only woman to have two songs in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top 10 from the United States. Ashanti Douglas, also known as Ashanti as she's more popularly known, was born in Glen Cove New York in the year 1980. Tina Douglas her mother is a former dance teacher and Ken-Kaide Thomas Douglas her father is a singer from the past. The Kenashia Shai Douglas family is their sister. She is the oldest. Ashanti was the vocalist backing Big Pun's We Roll. Other appearances she has made include the Fat Joe track What's Luv? Ja Rule's "Always on Time" and Fat Joe's What's Luv! The sample used in the debut single Foolish comes from DeBarge's Stay with Me, a 1983 track. The debut album of Ashanti was made available through Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. on the label in 2002. The Declaration the fourth studio album, was launched on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby was released for radio and on digital platforms on October 16, 2009. The singer played Latasha in Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City. Aitch was a British musician, sampled her track Rock wit U for Baby on the 10th of March in 2022.
